New toy

My wife got this for her school class:

Electronic Snap Circuits

Just the simpliest elementary set - but I still played with it for hours. That is such an amazing toy I think I will get SC-500 for our kids for Christmas - and get it now to have time to test it really really well before December comes

I had something similar to this when I was around 12 years old. I dutifully assembled all of the "experiments", but I think the concepts were mostly lost on me. Now I would probably get much more out of the kit and the snap system looks a lot more elegant than mine was. Cool stuff.

Growing up I had something similar but different.
Jumper wires with spring connectors.

We have used a few of them in classes that I have taken and everything is well thought out and documented.
