I have been wanting to get a 3/4 inch socket set lately. I will probably go cheap with harbour freight or TSC. Will I need standard or metric is the question. When tightening or changing out the pins on my implements I'm tired of using my giant adjustable wrench. The largest bolt I have run into on my 3320 was 15/16ths so far. I'm sure a metric equivelant would have worked also. JC

Yes.

You will unfortunately need both to work on the tractor AND implements.

As kennyd says, ideally both standard and metric would be best, but once you get to 15/16" and larger, usually a standard socket will fit a metric bolt and vice versa. Especially if you go with 6 point sockets. a 15/16" will fit a 24mm, a 1 1/16" will fit a 27mm, a 1 3/16" will fit a 30mm, a 1 1/4" will fit a 32 mm... Slight differences in size are not as critical as in the smaller sizes. Personnally, I only have a standard 3/4 set. I figure if I run into a metric size that won't interchange, I'll buy an individual socket. Call me cheap I guess.
