I wouldn't want to use the leading edge of my bucket to find stumps or rocks. That'a a good way to wrack the loader arms or worse. Leave it on the tractor if you don't have a QA bucket, or if you chose to not remove it for some other reason. For an HST transmission, OEM fluids is probably your best bet; and doing an all fluids change at beginning of ownership is a good idea.

bspeedy, I will check the WIX chart for the filter. I do have the HST drive. So maybe no saving money for the trans fluid.

Coyote machine, Mine is HST. I will get the NH recommended fluid for the tranny. I agree using the leading edge of the bucket when mowing to find possibly immovable obstacles sounds a bit risky for an inexperienced operator. Oh, yeah, that's me.
