Don't have much free time to search alot. Have a John Deere X540. Been using it for around six years. Have a blower for the winter. Live in a snow belt area. The problem I'm having is the belt drive clutch just stops working. I though it was the control switch on top. Have changed that. Now it just cuts out and in more frequently. The original problem of it cutting out didn't start until about an hour of run time. Now it's less then fifteen. Have checked for bear wires(none).

welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have a electric clutch that needs to be replaced. common issue on your model tractor.

That is going to be my next item to change out. Gave it a through cleaning yesterday.
