So today I got for what I consider a good price, a "new" tractor. It hadn't fired ran in 5 years when it was parked indoors. Today we aired up the tires, put some gas in it, and jump started it and it fired up great. Was able to drive it right up on to the truck.

Anyhow, I'm not really sure exactly what it is. The previous owner said he thinks it's a 68 but isn't entirely sure.

It's got a hydraulic leak somewhere, the blade won't stay in the upright position, it'll slowly lower itself back down. Other than that it mainly just needs cleaned up and a lot of maintenance. Not bad for free.

Your tractor looks to be 67 68 Landlord . Your cylinder seals are leaking by. that is if you don't find any puddles on the ground.

Try doing some research here: http://www.simpletractors.com/default.htm

Your tractor has been repainted and other changes are likely over the years, so it would take a while to pin down exactly what model it is. The easiest way to "date it" would be to identify the engine by model number - but that only works if someone hasn't changed the engine, some time over the last 45-50 years...

That was made between 1965 to 1967. 1968s were different. Good tractors, I have one. Too bad the tiller pulley has such a bend in it.
