Hello everyone. Been a while since I have been on. Life has been overcome by events. Picked up a 2005 Kubota RTV 900 diesel with 300 hours in a local sale couple of weeks ago. Nice little machine. Biggest complaint is being thrown through the windshield when my foot slipped off the accelerator pedal. So I have been researching the issues. Read all posts that I could find. Have done the coast relief valve adjustment (out 2.5 turns). That did the most in reducing the automatic breaking action and made it acceptable. But in doing so, it will not even get to 20 mph on level ground. Adjusted servo control valve a total of estimated 3 turns out and adjusted throttle cable slack. Has plenty of part throttle power but will not reach 20 mph. This is with the injection pump lever full open. I have run in the stop bolt under the accelerator pedal to let cable pull IP wide open.
Now my question, do I need to go more out on the servo control adjustment? It was already less than hand tight. In loosening the lock nut, the adjusting servo screw turned somewhat on its own as I was backing off the lock nut, so I had to guess how many turns. Is there a starting point to get back to, to see where I should start adjustments on the servo or just keep with the fine adjustments in searching for the golden spot? How much is too much?
Great to be back. Thanks in advance.
