Hey all, just came home with a 2008 MF1528. Tractor seems to be in pretty good condition, just been left outside in the sun too long and has a few hydraulic line leaks. So I think I did alright, as it has 1800 hours, and only gave 5k for it. I have owned JD 4300 before this, so having a MF is new to me. I know the older MF were great tractors, any thoughts on the newer ones? I figure parts would be cheaper and easier to get than JD.

Where can I get a deal kit, as all of the decals have faded bad being left in the sun.
Best place for hydraulic hoses/lines, other than dealer?
Parts diagrams?

Planning on doing some filter and fluid changes shortly.
Any thing I should know about this tractor?

Thanks.

I get my replacement hydraulic hoses from my local Napa dealer. Better quality than the factory hoses, less expensive than my Agco dealer wants for the lower quality stuff and they make them up while I wait.

I took the protective cover off the metal hydraulic lines on the loader and it looks as if one of the lines is completely rusted out. I cannot find the parts diagram for the loader. Can I use compression fitting and splice into the old line? Also, I know I need at least 2-3 new hoses as well, which my local NAPA also offers.

Do you have the 1525 loader?

Can one splice in a section of hydraulic tube vs. replacing the whole thing? I would like to just cut out the rusted/bad section and use some fittings or something to replace?

Yes you can splice the tubing but make sure to measure the outside diameter of what you have to see if metric or American. I have no clue on what Massey used.

Correct. Can I use compression fittings or are there better alternatives out there?

Also, what hydraulic fluid is recommended? I have HST version. I know JD wanted hygaurd, but no MF dealers close.
