New to me GC2300, pics and questions inside

I just bought the manuals on DVD. They didn't have an option to download them that I saw. You select the .pdf, add it to a DVD and then they'll mail them to you. It's about 1/2 the price of buying them locally from the dealer.

I'm still curious on the serial number as it doesn't follow the convention I've seen posted here.

Thanks. Let me know how the dvd is set up, and how user friendly it is.

I also have an older GC2300 serial number L-t3409. I purchased it new the spring of 2003. Can't be 2008 model year then! I believe the convention for serial numbers changed (as did the quality on a number of things such as hoses rubbing through!). Hmmm.
