I've committed to buying a 2008 MFWD 5103 and a new 553 loader with the skid steer front mount. I have a Bobcat Toolcat and need something with a little more lift capacity for feeding big hay bales. 5103 has 235 hours so basically new, I'll be having some fun testing it out, even tho I'm not much on machinery.

Can anyone tell me the width of bucket I'll need to clear snow, not that I'll do much with the 5103 (toolcat has a cab).

THANKS

A 6' bucket is a good match for that size tractor. You could maybe go 7' if you were only using it for light materials (snow, sawdust, mulch, etc)

tmarch,
I have a 5403. I agree with verticaltrx, a 6' foot bucket is the right size. I have cleared many a driveway and parking lot using a 6' bucket and 8' blade without issue.

Gotherdone, but just have my 66" Bobcat bucket on it for now. Bought a Kingkutter 8' professional blade for it. Blade seems to be well made and so far so good.:)
Had the dealer install the loader and they had the tilt cylinder hoses reversed, I just switched them as they said it didn't matter, makes it a lot easier to use.
