MF 135
I just got a 1967 MF135, Diesel, Diff lock, Independent PTO, multi power, Neon back lite gauges, It was my wife grandfathers and they just sold their farm and sent the tractor home with me to live. He has had it for 30+ years and only used it to bush hog his property. It has 5200 hours. I am going to put a finish mower behind it to mow my 4 acres weekly. and general use around the property. The tractor is in good original shape.

The 3 problems with her are, The multi power does not work and when the tractor is off the rear hydraulics leak down and the draft control does not seem to do anything.

The original plan was to just pull the pto cover and clean the filters to see if that was the problem with the multi power but from what i can find the IPTO is hydraulic and i might haft to pull the lift cover off to get to the filters because there are lines run to that cover from the inside? But if i have to pull the lift cover i probably should rebuild the lift cylinder while i am in there.

My question is, can i access the multi power filter without pulling the top cover with the IPTO, secondly does anyone know what rebuild kit i would need as it seems there are several different piston sizes.

Also when i move the draft control absolutely noting happens, the position control works fine but nothing from the draft any idea where to start?

You should first drain the transmission case and rinse with diesel fuel to clean out any contaminated oil in the case. It will likely be contaminated with water from over the years and have a milky look to it. It is said that the multipower pump filter can be removed from the left side cover but it is much easier to go ahead and remove the lift cover to see what all is going on in there. The bolts for the filter tube can be a bear to get at without being able to see them. The upper is not bad but the lower is behind the bend of the pipe. Often times the multipower linkage going into the transmission case from the top is out of adjustment. A manual details how to adjust this. If the MP filter is junk/damaged they can be rebuilt. I have some pictures of this. Without the MP working be carefull when going down inclines as the tractor will not have engine braking. Make sure the brakes are working/adjusted properly.
