What is the best way to operate the front end loader to ensure you get as full of load as possible?I was messing around with mine this weekend and was having a hard time getting a full load of sand from a fairly small pile. Thanks

I try to enter the pile with a level bucket and as I am slowly driving into the pile I pull the stick back to 7 0'clock and kind of curl and lift as I go forward. It takes a little practice but it will come easy after some seat time. Let us know the progress.. All I can bucket at this point is S N O W !!!

Johnk pretty much nailed it. I usually slowly move into the pile with loader level or slighty down, keep slowly moving in and curl and lift at the same time.

The fairly small pile is the key. Can't do it unless you use a shovel to fill the bucket. Low and curling as you go forward is the way to fill the most but a low pile will only allow you to pick up so much. If you have a backstop then stay low till you hit backstop and then lift as you curl the bucket back. Practice usually brings about improvement.

Practice, practice, practice. Find a snow pile and move it around. You will be amazed how good you'll get.
