New to forum and just bought a CK30

Good purchase. I bought a used 2006 CK30 in 2009 and have been pleased with its work. Had 200 hr when I bought, almost 1000 now. Lots of uses, and the little CK30 does good work, heavy for a small tractor.

what RPM do you run when mowing? I set the throttle at 1800 and adjusted my travel speed for a good cut. How do you all do it?

1800 RPM is really low for mowing.
Crank the thing up to PTO speed (around 2500 RPM) for a better cut.
