KUBOTA MX5100DT
I just wanted to introduce myself. We would appreciate any advice about getting rocks out of the plowed field. Right now we are stopping the tractor and loading up the front end loader. We took six loads out just this week. We are dealing with about 10 acres. I love my new tractor. Kubota gave me 100% financing, 1.6% financing and nothing down. I said, Great I'll take one of those and one of these etc ---. Now we are seeing what each implement does -- haha:)

Tossing them in the bucket is how I get rid of mine. Rocks are much easier to spot after a hard shower washes the dirt off of them. Just keep at it and soon the rocks will get smaller and smaller that your picking up untill you done! Good luck and enjoy your new 'bota.

Welcome to TBN, sorry I can't help on the rock situation as we don't have any, but what you are doing sounds pretty reasonable. Depending on the size, I have heard of people using landscape rakes to gather them up and load out of a pile, but have no first hand experience.

There are very expensive tow behind rock pickers if you have a huge field with tons of rocks. They even have self propelled rock pickers. But for the size field your working I would just keep picking up the bigger rocks and tossing them in the bucket. If there is a huge amount of them there are rock buckets for the loader. They replace the original bucket and are just a series of tines spaced so that big rocks stay in the bucket and the dirt and any small rocks fall through the tines. This way you just scoop up the rocks and don't have to hop off the tractor.

Thats the number crop in the north-east(rocks),rock bucket is the way to go.
Our land has been farmed since the 1850's and we are still picking rocks. We have miles or rock fences.Bending over and picking rocks all day gets real old real fast.

I have granite and limestone rocks. I have found that using a tooth bar on my FEL helps. I am able to dig under the rocks better and after some practice I don't pick up that much soil. I have a L4400 Just a thought? BTW, good to have you aboard.
