New to 9N with a couple of questions

Hi,

I'm just new to the forum and my 9N, which I'm going to pick up this weekend. Just wanted to ask a couple of new-guy questions ...

Is there a thread around that talks about the difference between using 11.2 and 12.4x28 tires on a 9N?

If I wanted a brake/clutch setup like an 8N, could I just get the pedal/rods, is there a conversion kit or is this a pipe dream?

I have a Zane Thang on order. Once installed, is it as simple as positioning the hydraulic lever for height adjustment?

Has anyone transported a 9N on a UHaul car-hauler?

I'm looking forward to learning more from this forum.

11.2-28 would be the normal 9n/2n/8n tire size. you can run 12.4 they will be a lil taller, wider, and you will go a lil faster.

having 2 brakes on the right and the clutch on the left like an 8n would require a bit of homade bracketry, artfull welding and fabriating and minor ingenuity. I've seen it done. It will, however, be more than a casual 'bolt on' kit that you pick up at tractor supply though.

yep.. the zane thang is all external.. it's just a clever friction linkage that uses physical upper lift arm location as feedback.

takes a bit to get the tension correct, but does work. kep in mind as it is working, your 3pt control lever will be moving on it's own to make the system mimic position control.

yes, you can haul a ford N on them 2 trough car haulers... as with any vehicle being hauled, position the laod over the dual axles so that yor tounge weight is correct.

ps, you might not want to tell uhaul you are moving a tractor on their car hauler.. they don't like that. saying it's a 39 ford might be easier.. and not so much of a lie but a lack of information..
