I was in the other thread, wasn't locked when I went in, but by the time I posted it was.

I was in Wally World the other day. They had Red, Blue, and Yellow cans there with an air hole on the other side. They had a flexible spout on the pour side. These are new cans because they didn't use to have these. Maybe someone realized the new way didn't work as well as the old way.

Anyone want me to do some buyin' and mailin'?:D

Jim, I'll take 2. I'm surprised others haven't taken you up on your offer. JT

The old style cans are still available. Wedco makes both styles, but there are certain situations that would require the safety style can. I beleive there are about 5 states that also require the safety can.

CA,DE,MD,NY and PA are the states that you are supposed to have CARB fuel cans. Makes you wonder where the world is headed. That we need protection from just about everything we do.

Why "... we need protection from just about everything we do."

...because of people with bad judgement....

Hay why not just go to sealed fuel cells? Living in the state of DE has it's good and bad points. The new style of auto shut off tanks causes me to spill more than I ever used to spill. Oh and some nice cussing goes along with that.

We also have ten percent ethanol added to our gas to help keep emmisions down as well. I drive to MD to purchase most of my gas.

The new style gas and diesel pumps have a break away connection at the end of the hose. In case you drive off with the nozzle still in your filler hole. When it disconnects the fuel shuts off. I had a diesel hose fly off at that connection when the pump clicked off. I was just glad it did not hit my vehicle. I've seen several other hoses laying on the ground next to the pump, so it must occur every once in awhile.

Check out No-Spill Cans and Nozzles Home Page
I bought mine at Hardware Sales in Bellingham, WA. I have no affiliation with the company other than as a very happy user of their cans and spouts. I'm even giving these cans to a friend who has admired how easy my no-spill can is to use.
