New Spring toy arrives....

Thanks to Ken Sweet of Sweet Farm Equipment Co. my new Kioti core aerator has arrived. It was shipped on Monday and was in CT on Tuesday. Trucking company dropped it today since they only come to this neck of the woods once a week. Was well secured to the pallet and the shipping was only $88 from Kentucky to Connecticut.. Glad that I had the hook placement on my bucket in the right place.... made unloading a breezed... The 18 wheeler couldn't make it down the country road, so it was loaded onto the back of my truck and I brought it to the house......

I unloaded a 12KW genset from my truck about the same way. Tilted the bucket forward until it lined up with the side of the carton, ran straps through the pallet and cinched it tight around the bucket. When I tilted the bucket back (with weight on the rear) it picked it up neater'n a shirt pocket, according to wroughtnharv.....LOL

I have the same aerator, it works great, 8-10 solid concrete blocks on top is all you need for weight. You may have to change the 3 pt lift locations, if your land is hilly, it will drag on the ground if you go over a bump. I found low gear works fine when pulling, high gear tends to bounce the blocks off when you hit a rock. If you did not get a owners manual, I did not from my local dealer, you can down load one from the Midwest site. Realy all you have to do is grease it up after each use. I made a dolly to move it around the shed.

Nice looking unit! I'm in the market and will have to contact Ken myself. My local dealer quoted me $1500 and told me they don't stock them. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

At that price, it is a good thing that they don't stock them.... I doubt that they would ever sell..... The local Kioti dealer didn't stock them either when I asked and suggested a light weight substitute by Agrifab.... He didn't even have a clue as to the difference in quality.

I went with a local Kioti dealer who promised he would have one to me in a week. Well that week tuned out to be a month. Ken was in the same price range even with shipping,as the local guy. I had done business with Ken before, FC rototiller, and was very happy with the service. I figured I would support the local economy, what a mistake. When it finally came in the local guy wanted to charge me extra for the pins to connect it to the 3 point! If I had not paid for it in advance, I would have cancel the order, and called Ken and had a unit in a few days.
