After 12 inches of very heavy wet snow, I got to setup and use my new snowblower. It was a struggle at first. And now I know why folks like having a tractor with a cab. Boy was that snow cold!

Quite the setup. I could've used that today myself.

I haven't done much snowblowing but at least with walk-behinds, the cardinal rule seems to be throw the snow downwind. Adjust all other parameters to accomodate that.

Yes, downwind was my first lesson today. The sad part, the wind was coming from the west and of course, I unwisely started to back up from east to west. I got a face full of fine cold snow. I loved every minute of it :) !!! But that will grow old, so next time out, wind will dictate where I start and direction I travel :D

Bob, you need a canopy, not that it will keep snow from the blower off you, but if it's snowing while your using your tractor, at least it will keep that snow off you. And they are great in the summer.:) I appreciated mine last winter.

Canopy is a good summer/rain investment ...once it's on, I found a golf cart cover with a few strategic bungees makes a cozy, if sloppy looking "cab" for around $100.

Hi doc, how did the blower handle the foot of wet snow? Did she clean right down to surface in one push, any bogging down?

New blower? Do you have a pair now Bob or did you trade in the one that you bought from me? That one looks heavy duty.

The blower never bogged down. I got down to gravel (I raised it when that happened :D ).

I wish I could have kept your blower, but I sold it to a fellow in Michigan. I think that a 70 HP tractor on a 35 HP blower may have "broken" your 35 HP blower.
