I bought a Trijicon Accupoint 3-9 x 40 scope and have been very impressed. The red triangle reticle is very intuitive and quick to use. I highly recommend one for anyone who's looking for an illuminated scope. They're probably one of the best kept secrets.

I would have considered a 223 to be a little light for hogs, but it appears that you're having good results. What are you using for ammo? Are you taking neck shots, or just lung shots. I assume you're avoiding the shoulder.

I have a RRA Rredator Pursuit that I use for coyotes.

I've been taking lung shots only, right behind the shoulder and only messing up one rib on the way in and one rib on the way out, lungs are totally destroyed and no hog has gone over 75 feet so far with a couple of instant drops....real good for me and real bad for them.

I am using the Hornday 5.56mm NATO TAP T2 75 grain BTJHP (law enforcement issue rounds) and the Privi Partisan .223 Match75 grain BTJHP. Both have worked extremely well.

Do you ever have any misfires or jams with the privi's? I've never used any of them, but see them all the time on sites I buy my ammo. Price is right on them too. Also, are they pretty clean burning? Accuracy consistent?

I'd appreciate a report. I've been considering buying them as an alternative to my normal XM913/M855 and Q3131. Thanks.

Privi is simply excellent to outstanding, very clean, very accurate and consistant.

The Privi 75 grain Match I am using for hunting is also outstanding for accuracy. Never had any problem with Privi and they would be my #2 choice after Federal M-193 or Winchester Q3131. In fact the Privi 5.56mm M-193 NATO 55 grain rounds are probably as good as Federals....and just as hot.

Thanks Skypup. My next order will be a case or two of it. I Just wanted to get some info from someone who had used it that I "know". I don't trust those online "reviews" on the site I am looking to buy it from. I sometimes believe it's actually the seller reviewing it to persuade people to buy it.

Over at AR-15.com they give it good reviews also, but wanted to make sure.

The Privi is all high quality brass, bullet and powder, works excellent.

What I would warn to stay away from, except for just crummy plinking ammo, is the Wolf or Silver Bear or Brown Bear ammo with the steel case. FTF, jamming, squib primer, stuck cases, etc. will result. At least it has for me....
