New seat/seatbelt on CK20

I just checked out the new Kioti webpage which shows the new 2005 style seat and retractable seatbelt arrangement for the CK20. Has anyone retrofitted this new arrangement to the earlier CK20's? Any idea of cost? Any new mounting holes needed? It sure would be nice to have a retracting seatbelt!

They changed the seat again? I thought I had the "New and Improved" seat on my 2005, although the belt is a pain because there is no place to store it when not in use.

Check out the photos on the new website. There is a clear photo of a suspension seat with seatbelt retractors on the CK20. I did not realize this was a second change. I haven't seen one of the post March 05 models yet and mine is the earlier type. I have attached the photo (hope Kioti or TBN doesn't get upset...I cannot figure out how to link just the photo from their website).

One related thing I found confusing is that the "folding" ROPS in the photos seems to "fold" just like mine does in one piece rather than in the middle like on the CK30. If that is the 'new' folding ROPS then I guess my tractor has it but has the old non suspension seat and the loose seatbelts.

I must have got a middle option. The 2004 I tryed had a non-suspension seat (not very confortable), but if I remember correctly, it would tip forward. My 2005 has a suspension seat, but it is fixed, you can't tip it forward to keep the rain off it, and there is no retractable belt. I also have a one piece ROPS that folds backwards at the mounts. I have seen pictures of a CK20 with a folding ROPS, although my dealer never mentioned it when I was ordering. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hey, maybe we can do a deal with Kioti for members of TBN. We'll have a group order for the new seats/seatbelt at Kioti cost and save megabucks. What a good marketing tool and publicity gimick for Kioti. Not a recall but a safety enhancing marketing campaign. But, nah, the bean counters would not see any benefit to building brand loyalty. Too bad businessmen are always focused on next quarter and not the next decade.

That seat is definitly different. I have a brand new CK20 with the suspension seat. It has about 6 different adjustments from up/down, forward/backward, to the spring rebound and float of the seat. The new seat looks to have a lot less adjustments, either that or the same adjustments with fewer levers...

I like the retracting seatbelt, mine gets tossed beside the seat after every use.

I am confused now, I thought I had a 2006 model since it has the new styled hood ornament and newer seat with cup holder. Is there any way to check the actual model year of a tractor ?

I think they sorta run together, I bought mine in March with the one piece ROPS, about a month later the new style showed up. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I know that when we got our first CK20 in about 2.5 months ago it had the old style non-suspension seat. The latest CK20 I recieved, about 2 weeks ago has the suspension seat like yours Dmace and it also has a different rollbar than the first CK20 I recieved...at least they keep changing things for the better, just would be nice if didn't just up and change in the middle of the year.

I noticed in your profile that you have the cab. I was just over at Batchelders talking about buying one. How do you like it? Do you have any other pictures of it?
