I bought a Michigan V5300 suspension seat. Works good. Not a Cadillac but a good Ford. Much better than the 2 springs it had.

Very nice!!
I really like my Deere Z920...gotta admit, it's ride is definitely not that comfortable.
I'm going to have to look into one of these!

If you don't mind me asking, where did you buy it?

Thanks for looking. I got it at Northern Tool. Not cheap but with a promo code I got 50 bucks off. So that paid for the shipping and then some.

Oh and btw . It took almost a month to get it from them.:hissyfit: Don't know why but seems to be lots of complaints when ordering this from them.

My guess on the delays is only a set quantity is imported at a time...once the quantity is sold, NT has to re-order.
These are also sold through Amazon, BTW. Same price...

My only "complaint" is the only color available is black, but that's not a showstopper for me.

Since mowing season is coming to an end...probably order late in the season.

One other option. I used a KM suspension kit on my tractor that works as good at half the price. This is just the base and no seat. The reason I went with the Michigan on the mower was because my old seat wouldn't attach to the KM kit.

I got my V5300 from Seat-warehouse for $350 shipped. They sent it out 3 days after payment and I had it within 5 days of ordering. I actually ordered through northern tool and then was notified they were cancelling my order due to the seat not being in stock. Not a bad thing as I think I saved about $50 and got it faster. I like the seat a lot and from what I saw there was a choice between black and grey.

Looks like the same Michigan seat I installed on my Mahindra tractor 13 years ago - has been extremely durable. My tractor has lived outdoors it's full life and that seat is still in good shape. I do have a canopy but it doesn't keep the sun/weather off much. To mount to my tractor I had to for-go the tilt function my tractor had with the original seat but this one has a drain in the seat for water to run off. I'm going to buy one for my Country Clipper ZT when I get a little more wear out of the original seat first.
