The Deger plate is upside down in those other photos, of course. When the bearings are in it, it will sit on top of the bottom plate like this. Here it is locked forward.

The bottom plate will sit anywhere from 1/2" to 1-1/2" above the hydraulic box, depending which row I use.
Here it is in the unlocked position, where it can swivel from side to side like I was talking about doing.

Now the seat will do everything I want, being able to pivot side to side, lock in a forward position, scoot front and back and also up and down. Lots of adjustments built into this arrangement. I think it would be good for fat or skinny guys, tall or short. I will paint the parts after I weld the side brackets on and after I press the bearings back together at camp. It should be cool....the seat that is. I just read it was 104° in Three Rivers yesterday.

I only had one day at camp to put the seat on and change over my OEM suction strainer to a new spin-on one from Norhtern so I had to hustle.

First thing was to fit the side brackets to the hydraulic box. I had to make some cut-outs for it to fit. Then bolt them on and put the base on top of that so I could tack weld the the two together. Then I took it all off to finish welding and paint it. The base is what came off Ken's seat.
This is what the base and side brackets look like now.

Next was to assemble and grease the ball bearings for the pivot feature. I bolted the top and bottom together with the big retainer washer I made so it would not come apart. The retainer has enough clearance to allow pivoting.
then I put that assembly on the tractor.

The top is what goes into the slots on the seat, which is the sliding back and forth adjustment. In fitting the seat, I wanted to make sure there is enough room in either direction. It is now done and on the tractor. The view is great, the seat is comfortable and I am happy.

Thanks for looking.

You convinced me. I've been wanting to add a suspension seat to my CK20 but a new suspension seat from Kioti would cost over $600 so that was a non starter. I just ordered the same seat you have (in black) from AgriSupply and I intend to do a simple switch out with the old seat as I don't need any swivel feature. I'll post once I've received and installed it.

I'm glad you found this thread informative and sort of a product review. For the price, it sure is worth it me.
I will make one suggestion, and might do the same to mine. I found the this seat lets you sit "deeper" into it. So it feels like the front of the seat is up against the underside of your knees or thighs more, or that you are slightly tilted back more... at least from my old seat. You might want to shim up the rear a little higher than the front for that reason. I have to put a few more hours on it to be sure though, and can adjust the side brackets to to that. But when you get yours, be sure to check for that. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed because it's very comfy.

As mine will hopefully be a simple bolt on mount, I will probably just hold off on snugging things down until I've tried the seat for a while. I'm 6'5" so that might take some adjusting as well. The only thing I am a bit concerned about is that my current seat back rubs up against the fuel tank and the new seat looks bigger generally. Nothing to do but try it out though.

Mornin Rob,
What is it with you machine types ? Every project is akin to launching the space shuttle ! ;)

BTW dont get so fixated with whats going on behind the tractor, with fancy new swivel seat, to notice whats in front of you ! ;)

All in all, very informative, but I would have prefered fold down armrests ! :)

Alas, I will never be able to photograph the back side of the seat on my Massey and post on TBN, someone put a Hows My Driving call 1-800-***-#### sticker !

Hahaha,
Don't give me any crap about the **** machinist stuff ... I've seen your threads on restoring you 1942 and 1949 Farmall beauties!:D lol...You rank among the top ones here and definitely worse than me.:)

BTW, I was worried about the arm rests too, but because the seat swivels they are ok. So they get out of the way for entry and exit.

I like that design for a swivel. I have been thinking about changing the seat out on my old kubota b7100. Big kicker is I have a backhoe and the 'seat adapter' which allows you to turn the seat around is pretty much a pain. It is real sloppy, doesn't hold the seat straight, gets in the way of the lift arms which limits my lift height on the 3pt.

The seat adapter does allow you raise the seat up 6-8" or so in order to see better. You must really only need to do this if digging at max depth as I have never used it and it was all rusted in place when I got it.

I would probably try to make a 'spring-loaded pin' (or whatever you call them) to make turning the seat easier. When you are using the backhoe you have to spin around often to re-position the tractor etc. A screw type pin would probably get old fast.

You've given me something to think about ;)

Bummer. Unfortunately I must report that this seat model does not fit on a Kioti CK20 and may not work with other small CUTs either. There are two problems: 1) the bolt pattern on the Kioti seat is 5 1/8 x7 1/2. This Agri-supply seat's mounting bracket is only about 4 inches wide so you'd need to drill holes in the Kioti seat base plate to adapt it. Not a big deal and certainly not the real limiting factor but an issue to ponder. 2) the main problem is that the seat is an inch or two too long and while it fits on the seat base OK, even with the seat pushed all the way back against the fuel tank, you sit further forward than with the stock non suspension Kioti seat so your normal foot access to the HST pedal is changed and you sit a bit too close to the steering wheel. Also, because the side arms are not movable, in the cramped position on my tractor I'd be snagging my thigh every time I got off the tractor. I'm afraid I am going to have to return it.

There is good news for some of the rest of you: It is a really nice seat and is very sturdily built. Must weight over 40lbs. The price was right too at under $80. I'd have been very happy to keep the seat if it fit my tractor.
