Well, I have been hanging around the Kubota forum for a little while. I am a John Deere guy, but the JD dealers I have tried in Texas sure are not what I am used to in Western New York. Still waiting to get quotes they promised me??? Anyways I now have two Kubotas and just one nice green push mower left. I am very found of JD Industrial Yellow also having a JD450C crawler and JD301-A in the past. Well the new L3800 showed up today. It was a longer wait than initially anticipated, 7 weeks and a day, but I was in no real hurry for it. Came from Barlow's and Brady seems like a great guy. I was able to save quite a bit compared to the local dealers, even the one I bought my ZD323 from a couple of years ago. Well it has been almost two and half years without a tractor and I am thrilled to have one again. I tried out the HLA forks on a pile of pine branches that possibly had a rattle snake in or near. Put the bucket back on and while putting the ratchet rake on, noticed hydraulic fluid spraying out a fitting. Shut it down and found a fitting very loose. Tightened it up and checked all the other fittings on the tractor. Fired it back up and heard the strain of the hydrostat. No fluid showing in the site glass. Bummer
Had 0.2 hours of fun anyway. I have Kubota UDT around, but no Super UDT. I know they are compatible but my thoughts were to wait and get some Super UDT tomorrow. I guess I will start working on my projects soon and try to post some. Thanks to everyone on this forum for making it such a great tool for shopping and comparing tractors.
