New Resident SPAMMER or Bot?

So there is a new 'member' on this site and it appears that the only contributions are posting YouTube links and emojis in an attempt to elicit some type of response. I haven't yet figured out the why. I have PM'd Muhammad, and haven't used the Report Post function because there are just too many. At this point I think there are about 80 threads initiated by the user which are nothing more than a subject line and a YouTube video. Most are tractor related, but not small or compact or even available to us.

Folks are responding in the threads because I don't think they are noticing the pattern, but if all you view are the new posts from your previous visit, the pattern jumps out at you. Is there anything else we can do? If there was some other form of participation fine, but 20% of the 'new posts' are this user.

I am not outing the username, but I'm sure others have noticed and identified this user too.

Strikes me as one who does similar with NASCAR links on another site. Seems to have a poor grasp of English so they don't post a lot of text.

I noticed also;looks like some-one playing with a new toy;I.E.found out on how to post video links.SOME-ONe should contact and have them back off posting;we all know how to use you-tube.

Use the "Report post" button.

Heck I've watched a few of his videos and parts of others.
They don't bother me, I can skip or view them as I desire.

He is a spammer. Throwing links out on the web of his own you tube channel.

He will get a few hits from guys here, but more importantly, the Google crawlers will pick up on the links and his channel will display higher in search results.

I dont like it. If I want to promote my business on a forum, I have to pay.

Posting a link relative to an ongoing discussion is one thing. Starting posts in every subforum within a few hours that all contain a link is unacceptable.

Exactly. Anyone could just ignore and skip over them. I'ts not like they're causing a major problem.

I also don't care for the stuff but also note there are long time members here which promote their vid's, side work, website and such. For me its just part of this forums design.
