Well, I did it. I bought me a LandPride RBT 4596 for my M7060. I was looking for a used one for quite some time with no luck. Here in the Bay Area, CA we sure have it rough sometimes, slim pickins. ;( I had to pay **** near retail, but I have it now and it's mine. Just wait, one will show up for now for much less. Anyways, got some learnin' to do with this thing as I haven't used one much before.

Very nice. That is in the same weight class as my Rhino 950 - 96" - 1100#. Only mine is all manual. When I upgraded to my Kubota M6040 - I got a Land Pride RB3596 @ 566#. It proved to be simply too light to cut into my mile long gravel driveway in the summer. After spring rains my driveway set up just like concrete.

I know what you had to pay for that thing - Lord - when you get into class 2 and or 3, the price of implements hits the moon. I've been out here in the boondocks now for 36+ years. You know - in all that time - not one single implement of any size, shape or stripe that would be of any use to me. I put my Land Pride rear blade on local Craig's List and it sold - cash - high dollar - within one hour after hitting the list. Wish I had half a dozen more to sell.

So....... don't feel alone. I just learned looooong ago - bite the bullet and buy it big and buy it new.

The learning curve for a rear blade is fairly long - BUT - if you do as I did and get a hydraulic top link - it sure makes learning a whole lot quicker and easier. With a hydraulic top link - its adjustment on the go - no stop, dismount, twist-twist-twist, get back up, try it - stop again, dismount - - you get the idea.

With a hydraulic top link you do not have to accept - "well, darn, that's good enough". You just keep tapping that lever and you can tune the new rear blade into to a fine cutting implement.

All those hydraulic hoses on there make you a cheater!...nice blade.

All those hoses means he must have, at least, an SCV tri-pack out back.

I'm confused. 3 double-acting cylinders, but do I only see 4 hydraulic lines that connect to tractor?
What's the module/block on top that has a lot of lines going in and out?

Manual diverter would be my guess. :confused3:

I see an octopus perched on top of that rear blade. I see TWO hydraulic hoses going to the tractor and some sort of hydraulic diverter. Either manually or ??? divert flow to the three control cylinders. And if I squint, real hard, I think I see a hydraulic top link in the bottom picture.

He has a complete top & tilt set from me.

Thanks Oosik for the kind words.

CobyRupert, I have 3 remotes on the tractor, and that is a manual selector valve on the blade. When I save a little bit more I'll go with Brian's electric diverter valve kit to add 2 more outlets for a total of 5.

I already had his TopNTilt cylinders. Very nice quality from what I had before (gearmore)

That's for SERIOUS work! When you're using this you will KNOW that you're using it!

I got a RBT 3596 over a year ago. Been really pleased with it. Yours is heavier than mine and should work even better. I think you got yourself a nice setup.
Congrats on the purchase.

Very, Very nice blade!!! I needed one not long ago and like you could not find a nice used blade, only abused ones for almost new price. I ordered a rbt4096 that handles my tractor perfectly and it's pretty much identical in size to yours so I don't think you'll ever have any issues with that beast behind you. Far as the learning curve, that's the fun part. Enjoy!

View attachment 570133 Wish I had a better picture. This is my Rhino 950 - - quite similar to your shiny new unit - only all manual.

Short story - three years ago - down the driveway with the rear blade cleaning ditches. Stopped the tractor on a slight side hill slope - on the driveway. Dropped the keeper pin on the blade swing function. Gravity took over and the blade ran right over me. I gave it my very best - trying to stop the motion - no joy. I hit the deck and that sharp 'ol blade made a very noticeable mark on the back of my Carhartt jacket as it passed over me. Object lesson - only make blade mods on more level ground OR prepare to be sliced/diced. My salvation - the blade was raised to full height - anything less - I don't like thinking about that scenario.

I have the Woods RB96.60, which is almost identical to yours. It's a beast. You will love it

I bought a Land Pride RB3796. I’ve now added a Fit-Rite blade angle cylinder and a pair LP skid shoes to it.

This pic is before skid shoes and cylinder were added.

rigustafson - Your 3796 is Land Prides next step up from my old 3596. You should get Brian's hydraulic top link also. What a world of difference in the way my Rhino 950 works!!!

Mopardude - I finally got to looking at your brand new shiny - no-dirt-on-it-yet-blade & thinking (us Norwegians are noted for being somewhat slow - ufda) - you must have some sort of "PLAY CARD" when you use that thing. Going down the driveway - do you tilt with you Fit-Rite hydraulic tilt or do you tilt with the hydraulic tilt thats built into the new blade. That's the only function thats doubled up so maybe it won't be that confusing.

If we see a big Kubota with a shiny new rear blade - just a borin' on down - we promise not to laugh - we will come and help - - honest.

Now just be careful that you don't blade all your driveway into the starboard side ditch - - ha, ha, ha. Have fun man - enjoy.

I’m now on my 3rd set of T&T cylinders from Brian. My LS XR4155HC has three sets of rear remotes so I can use hydraulic top and side links and blade angle on 3rd remote.

To be completely honest with you since it got unloaded right at that spot last week, I haven't even used it yet. Still sitting there. Work has been killin me, I leave the road at 430am and don't get home till 7. By that time I'm completely exhausted. LOL.

I'm sure whichever tilt option I do use will be based off the situation? Maybe Brian can chime in.
