Just got my MT125 TLB and got a good deal at $15,999. I am using it a lot for removing small stumps (couple of big ones) to clear some additional land. What RPM are folks using when working with the BH?

Thanks

I run pretty high, over 2500 and often up to the 3000 PTO speed.

I need to know how that works out since it's one of my tasks.

No belly mower on yours?

I have used it as low as 1800-2000 rpm for light digging or just moving things with the thumb. Most moderate digging is at the 23-2500 rpm range. When I was digging my septic system (deep 5' trenches) in hard soil, I was at the 3000 rpm mark. You'll soon get used to it and know where you need to be.

Congrats on the tractor! Strong little workhorse. I have 150 hours on mine now and it hasn't failed to do anything I tried with it, and I've done a lot!

I've almost have 50 hours on mine now and when I've used the back hoe I set the throttle at 2700 which works for me. At that RPM it has had plenty of power for the work I was doing. You will love your tractor and it's a little workhorse for sure. Everytime I look at mine I'm amazed at how powerful it actually is for it's compact size. Have fun......

Well I cleared an area behind the barn so I can park some trailers there. Little machine worked very well. Lots 4-6 inch stumps and the largest was a 12" Oak. Worked well. Maybe 30 minutes to remove 12" stump. Stump3.JPGStump2.JPGStump1.JPG
