If the hourmeter is the only part of your display that doesn't work, you could install one of these to track your hours for service. Enm DC Hour Meter, 6 Digit, Round, 1-8VDC T4B45 | Zoro.com I have installed some of these for customers that didn't want to spend the money for a new instrument panel. Only downside is this style will count hours anytime the key is on, even if engine is not running, so hours may count up a little faster.
That is 10-80volts. At first I wondered how 1-8 volts (as shown in your link, maybe the link got compressed) would work on 12v system.
