I was out in 90+ degrees the other day for several hours and mine worked fine.

You should have the rear vents open.

I also point two blower vents on me and the other two are shooting over my head, so the cool air falls on me, as it were.

I've had my 2538 for about a year and have not had any AC problems. Just make sure you keep the screens under the hood clear as it will keep the AC from cooling like it should. If mowing tall grass you may need to check it several times a day to make sure it's not getting covered.

This is the best advice you will get about keeping ANY AC system working

I had problems with my 2565. At about 8 months it quit cooling, but it was turning cooler & I didn't worry about it. At around 12 months the cheap plastic idler pulley locked down and burnt up. Took it in to the dealer for 150 hour service & they replaced the pulley, belt, & recharged the system under warranty. So far this year no problems!
