3320
I have a unique position, I am getting a 3320 hydro, R4 tires, telescoping draft links, extra lights on rops, 300cx loader, 61inch bucket with toothbar - for a fire replacement tractor. I spend a bunch of time working in woods and hate to take a brand new tractor in the woods. Where is the best place to find trade opportunities?

Are you saying you just ordered a new 3320 and your now trying to trade it with someone else for a used tractor? I'm just trying to comprehend what your asking as I don't see why you would order a new tractor and now try to trade it off,( if that's what your asking).

Sorry for the confusion. I had to order the new tractor. The ordered tractor was for a replacement for a totaled damaged tractor. Insurance will only replace new not used. For value I am getting the 3320.

Why not keep the new tractor since there is no sense taking a hit in cashing out or trading. Buy a used 30 year old tractor to use in the woods.

Keep the 3320, It will be used before you know it. I bought mine about a year ago and was pissed when I put in the first ding. It's kind of like a new truck. No matter how you try it won't stay new for ever.

Now if you just need an old beater tractor that is a diffenent story. You could by a tractor at half the value of the 3320 and buy more attachments. I would at least run the 3320 for a while. I really like mine.

Try to remember that the new tractor didn't cost any more than the old one was worth as a trade in. There may have been a deductable involved, but I sure wouldn't be afraid to use the new one! If it makes you a bit more careful, or cautious that is not a bad thing. :D

Ah alright, I understand. As other's have said, why not just keep the 3320 and use it? It's a great tractor, and if your like any of us, after the first time you drive it you won't want to give it up.

Theres no way you could trade it in at the dealer when it comes in? That is assuming the dealer may have something you want? I'm thinking something along the lines of a used 4x20...
"Buy" the 3320, and then trade it in before you take delivery...use this opportunity as a chance to step up in tractor size for "free"

Thanks for the input. Currently the dealer does have a 2002 4310 4x4 but it isnt hydro, I like the hydro. The dealer offered to use tractor to trade up, but I didnt want to use any real money to pay the difference. Ill keep reading the advise.

I like this idea. However, maybe figure out other options with the dealer. Once you "own" the 3320 the value drops immediately and the warranty starts. Could the dealer sell this tractor outright for you. He may be able to sell it at a lower cost than usual, take his cut and still give you a chunk of change. Dealer could sell it as "new" to the next buyer and still get the Jd financing at a low rate to the next buyer because it was sold as new. A buyer can't get the 0% financing from JD for a "used" tractor. You would probably end up getting more cash and sell it faster than trying to sell it yourself.

Another option. Is there another dealer in the area willing to take the "new" tractor before you actually own it and give you a trade in allowance for a used tractor the 2nd dealer has on his lot. This would allow the 2nd dealer to sell it as "new" with full warranty and Jd financing.
