Pictures, We need pictures. Is it just a puncture wound, or is it totally destroyed?

If it is just a flesh wound, take it off clean it out, straighten if necessary and weld a patch, repaint and reinstall. Don't forget to refill the oil, then go back to having fun.

Not really good @ posting pics. Sitting on the tractor, left corner, dent and hole the size of a dime. Just feel like I should replace w/ a new one. I'm calling the delearship in the am to see what the total cost will be.

If it turns out to be very expensive, maybe yours can be fixed? I have fixed a few oilpans, both steel and aluminum, when replacements were not a good option. I would rather replace with new, but I have to work within customers budgets.

Not as bad as I thought, 180 for oil pan $30 for oil, friend said he has the gasket matrerial and he can help put it all back together as he does this for a living, pay him 50 or so and I will be back in good shape dealer overniting me oil pan so it should be here tomorrow. I'll keep you informed on the put back together.

Hmmm, you are making a lot of "old farmers" spin in their graves! 230 bucks for a oil pan hole that was extremely repairable. Oh well, YOUR time is valuable too! For that $230 you could have gotten a small ox/ac torch set and brazed the hole closed. Then you would have the torch set and a fixed oil pan. Now all you have is the fixed pan. Paying to have a boo-boo fixed is one thing, fixing it your self is another. It provides a sense of redemption.

Maybe you can start building your tool set. Many of us here are experts at spending other peoples money! Just ask, we can send you to the poor house quick!
