New NH Website

Not much of a web site. Needs a lot of work.

In one of the videos it showed a NH, a JD and Kubota trying to get over what looked like was a RR tie and some loose material. The Kubota had turf tires and neither the Deere nor the Kubota had rear weight so they spun their tires. The NH had a weight box and R4s. It drove over. That was supposed to be an example of Sensitrac??? Excuse me but that was totally bogus!

Another video showed a "class 2" NH up against a Kubota B3030. So they take a moderately heavy tractor, don't tell us what horsepower it has, and they compare it to the lightest weight 30hp series tractor on the planet in a traction test? Seriously, could they have rigged the test any more? Why not compare it to a similar weight/similar capacity tractor like the L3130? OH WAIT, it might not win!?!

Then there was the bouncing video where the had 4 tractors to prove the NH had a smoother ride. Well I'm not really sure it does or doesn't. But the video again showed some pretty questionable things, specifically the tiny Kubota model that bounced around the course. They could at least have compared similar size tractors! Of course the smallest machine will bounce the most. And it seemed obvious that they had the 3pt arms lowered on the first 3 tractors to exagerate the bouncing effect, but they had them raised on the NH to minimize the appearance.

The video for the SuperSteer was legit. Guess they didn't need to stack the deck on that one!?!

Bear in mind, I am a NH owner. I believe it is good enough to stand on its own against the competitors because of its design features. Of course many of those were not highlighted in the video. Too bad they didn't have a video that compared the view in front of the tractor that shows how much more you can see with a NH versus some other brands. NH would win that hands down and it is a real advantage, not one they have to make up.

Advertising that is so obviously biased against other products tends to really turn me off. To say that I am disappointed in NH for that website is a massive understatement.

The web site gets a 8 out of 10.

I really think that New Holland should be sold on the merits of their machine alone. Comparisons just tend to irk most folks and there really isn't two machines that can compare well against each other anyway.

The suspension seat does smooth the ride and make life easier on your back.

The SuperSteer will let you maneuver an obstacle course if you are so inclined to do so.

The SensiTrak is a great feature and really does do what they claim it will, as far as automatically applying 4WD whenever needed.

The sloped hood and loader arms does give you better visibility. Also think that all manufacturers need to offer an optional ROPS mounted light kit for use with FELs to increase night visibility. Don't care what kind of headlight you have the buckets in the way most of the time.

As far as HP is concerned I don't think one has an advantage over the other, HP doesn't know Kubota from John Deere.

The hood does in fact lift fully out of the way for easy maintenance, and the steering wheel telescopes and tilts for a comfortable grip, The battery, well I'm not even going to go there. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

NH didn't even touch on the telescoping lower arms but they are a nice feature as well.

Didn't mention the well laid out controls and the roomy platform. And the deluxe FEL joystick with the rabbit/turtle buttons for the hydro, well that's the icing on the cake

After 2-1/2 years of ownership I would definitely purchase New Holland again.

They do this all the time at the sales schools. Here on our lot we compare the L3130 to the TC33 because they are about the same cost. The B3030 is a good $2000 cheaper and admitadly less tractor. That also goes for a TC26 vs a B7610. There the price spread is almost $3000! A B2630 is a better match.

Just because they do it as "sales school" does not make it right. Isn't the B3030 a "class 1" machine in all respects? So why compare it to a class 2 Boomer?

Honestly the website disgusts me. I've been a very outspoken fan of the Boomers, I think they are awesome machines, I love mine and I'd gladly buy another. But this type of advertising/comparision is truely distasteful. They can show some great features of the Boomers (Mike pointed them out) without the misleading videos that are nothing more than disingenuous lies. I am totally disappointed in NH's advertising/marketing.

I agree with Bob. I think that the website starts off good, but the data under the surface defies reality. I think whoever New Holland brought in to do their "new" marketing campaign should be replaced as soon as possible.

I don't think its right either, but you can't just come down on NH either. You can find this kind of stuff from alot of other companies too. This is what happens when marketing runs wild.

jcollins,

What an incredible web site. I Love NH Tractors. I think my next acquisition will be the TJ Series 530 PTO HP Tractor. What a monster. So what if I only have 2.3 acres. What a sight it will be on the front lawn. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Sure would give the farmers in my area something to think about....& show me proper respect. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I could just see it now.......farmers in their tractors would come from all over just to see my monster.....OK....I'll stop dreaming now !! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

To All: One thing I appreciate about TBN is its integrity. Many of us appear to do what we say and say what we do. I have "danced" with sales & marketing as a "rolled up shirt sleeve" operator for far too long. All of you are invigorating! Jay
