758- 900 lbs.
759-1468 lbs.
I'm guessing add another 100 or so for the subframe. You can download a pdf file from the NH website with the specs. No idea about price difference. I'll bet it's at least $2/lb.

I have the attached set up. It includes a 2005 Woods BH9000 back hoe with about 20 hrs on it. I love it but I am selling the BH to get the newer, BH90 with the hydraulic thumb. Anyone looking for a unit like this, I doubt you will find one with so few hours on it. They are powerful machines. I dug up this full size oak tree stump in about 45 minutes. It was a new stump. I cut the tree down the day before.

PMRT, You really want a powered thumb that bad. Will a fixed thumb not do what you need? Looks like a deal for someone.

Well i decided if im going with a BH it will be a 759c for sure. I saw a 758 and it was smaller then i expected and too small for what i want so i will go with a 759c. The weight with subframe is 1800 lbs and the quoted price was $8700 installed with 16" HD bucket. They only recommend remote hydraulics. There are lots of bucket sizes available but only a 16" 3 tooth heavy duty, all other sizes was standard duty. Could be a misprint as i saw some other mistakes in the book. Im only going by the book(brochure) so if anyone knows for sure what sizes in HD for the 759 it would be great to know. Im not sure what bucket size would be better anyway. Big, small?
Does that price seem reasonable? any other quotes out there?

According to the NH website under part's they make a HD 5 tooth 24" they have a standard 18" with 4 teeth .I would buy a bucket with consideration of removing dirt or rock.If only digging dirt out the standard may be good enough.Good choice on the 759 it fit's the tractor.

We like our 18" bucket for footer's and general digging .This is the one we like best.On larger footer/ditch/dirt removal project's we use a 24" bucket .We also have 3 bachoe's one older ford hd 18", a 555b hd 24"and a 509 bradco SD 12"and SD 18" on our skidsteer.I ask the bradco company about there standard bucket and he said they where strong enough to do what we wanted and that they wouldn't rip apart.I would ask your dealer or look at a hd bucket vs standard .There also mabe a after market bucket if the 16" isnt wide enough and the 24 is to wide.I havn't compared the bucket's in a year or so for the new backhoe's but when we did there was a differance in the size capacityand metal used.

I have to admit the bradco bucket was alot stronger built than we first expected .We dont expect any problem's with them what so ever.

Sounds to me like the smaller would be a better choice for you. If you have to deal with a lot of wet clay, or was digging foundations, bigger works better. But for stumps and rocks, I'd say the 16".

I've run a lot of backhoes for a lot of hours,, For my own machines, 12" bucket for stumping or underground electric lines. 24" for most anything else. Much less stress on the crowd stick with a smaller bucket, especially with all the pine stumps here in New England area. Lots of rocks too.
