Kubota l3400
Bought 2year old Farm King sickle bar mower. Kubota L3400 with bucket loader. Loader hydraulics block has four connections. Mower has cylinder to raise and lower cutter blade, one hydraulics hose on mower. Which of the four loader connections should the mower hose be connected to? Bucket tip and roll? LA463 loader. Like to keep loader on tractor but only need up and down.
Thanks any info

it doesnt matter. which ever way you want to pull the lever to lift the mower. just note when you lower the mower, the tractor hydraulics will hit relief pressure. this wont do any harm over the short period you will be doing it for.

That single hose needs to go to the hydraulic port that has the "float" position on. It sounds like you have a SA (single acting) cylinder and the port that it should hook up to would apply pressure to raise the cutter bar and when placed in the float posistion would lower it. I have a MOCO that's like that.

he still wants his lift lower, which is the curcuit which has float. so you cant use that. if he uses the bucket crowd circuit, when he lowers, the loader will hit relief because it will be pushing oil against the unused coupler on the valve. but the other side will be open to tank, so the mower will lower. just like what happens on a remote without float position. for a short period of time to lower a mower, it wont cause any issues.

If one is concerned, you could temporarily put the loader lift hoses on the curl circuit.

My only concern would be the regen. I would "assume" one would want a sickle set up where pushing to the right would lower and pulling back to the left would raise. The first position of the kubota valve pushing to the right is regen. Have to go beyond that to the detent to get out of regen.
