My German leaves more than a little to be desired.

You have done lots of work making the tractor look good. Now lets see some pictures showing a shinny bucket from lots of use.

Pictures of implements and descriptions of working methods would be very interesting. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Wow, on this side of the pond tractors are girls, I wonder how they change the gender?!!!!

That cab sure is sweet, we are only now getting them available on the 3x20's
they are very pricey too, So maybe we are getting more in line on price!

We are just now getting that front mount hitch. But no mowers for it, yet!

Does your cab have the escape hatch in the roof? I have seen them on the european 4310 cabs

Hi,

sorry but my cab doesn't have the escape roof; I think it's only on the 20 series and not on the 00 or 10 series tractors.
About the front hitch i would say it's not necessary if you have a fel but if you don't have a fel it's a pretty useful thing; i have a knob on my dash where I can electromagnetically switch on my front pto even if I have the MMM on the tractor; that's only possible because my tractor has a separate gear box in the front which is driven from the crankcase ( I hope I used the right words ).

OK no more excuses your English is better than most of ours!

But seriously, I want to thank you for taking the time to post these pictures and descriptions. The most that I have seen of this stuff is the tiny pictures that Deere posts an their website. It is really great to see such detailed photos. It is very strange that many of these options are not availble in the US. I really hope they are built on your side of the pond, because it would really be sickening to think they are sitting in warehouses here, and we can't get thim.

Your home made bucket looks great. I can't wait to see the grapple! I am going to add one soon, i hope.

Hi rockyridgefarm,

in Germany we have front mowers since many years driven from the front pto; they are regular mower decks but with a frame over it so that you're able to hang up them in the frame. The only problem is that for collecting the grass from the side of the mower to the collecting system on the rear 3 point, theres a long way for the grass through a 4 meter hose with 20 cm diameter and therefore when the grass is wet it stucks in the hose. That's the reason why we rather like the MMM than a front mower deck.
The frame on the mower deck is fixed to the front hitch over a triangle. Perhaps I'am able to scan a picture from the frame and the triabgle for better understanding what i tried to explain.

Wow, excellent pictures!

Please tell more about the PTP driven grass collection system.

Yeah, that front mower to rear grass collection would never work here, we would have to import metric grass....

4 meters!!! Yikes! That would be a mess!

Hi kennyd,

i don't know the inch, i'm a metric guy.
The rear pto goes into a gear box where are several drive belts and one of them goes to a turbine with 8 shovels packed in an iron canal who goes in a fiberglass box with perforated lattice where the air, produced from the turbine, can go out from the fiberglass box because the turbine produces a lot of air !!! The grass is moved because of the negative pressure produced from the turbine from the MMM's right side through the hose into the turbine canal and then into the fiberglass box. If you put the hose away from the turbine and bring your hand near the turbine it will cut all your fingers and you wouldn't realize this. It's like a knife, a green knife !!! an an expensive knife. You can get several collection boxes with various cubic; i have an 550 liter box, the next one is a 750 liter, then 1200 liter and the highest has 2000 liters!! If this box is full you even get problems with an 3720; last week I drove a 3720 with emty 2000 liter box, 300 CX loader and 72" MMM and it really bogged down when i suddenly went to max speed; after a while the rpm's raised up to 2700 per minute and I was able to drive about 33 km/h.

Attached is a picture with a grass collecting system built in Germany; the tractor is only a 455 and not a 4300 but they are also availible.
