Glad to be aboard. Have a 2004 JD 990 I bought in Tx. In 06. Great ride and a good worker. 45 horse diesel, 35 @ pto, 4x4.
Shopping for a box blade now, been looking @ JD2172, any advice, suggestion
would be welcome.

Welcome aboard brother.
I would shop around for box blades. The color shouldn't matter.
Check for people selling used ones. You might find a good one for less money.
