Buying Advice New Member...

Hello
Not only am I a new member, but have just bought my first tractor, hopefully to be delivered Wednesday morning.
I have one of the new BX25Ds with a box scraper and an 12" auger.
Am looking for a recommendation for a wood chipper. The dealer recommended something from BearCat but since it wasn't a Kubota product
I though I'd do a little more research.
Want something that will easily chip 2"-3", but more importantly a wide hopper to accept crooked Manzanita branches.

You can do a search of woodchippers on here or google for that matter to get an idea of what is decent and the pricing. Congrats on the tractor.

From my experience, it's the throat and the width of the hopper that is the most troublesome of small chipper/shredders. The big commercial units have some auto feed device and handle limbs with wide angles okay. Good luck on your search. I have an independent 4 inch chipper/shredder, but feeding such wide brush just takes patience. Sometimes I just cut the troublesome limbs with loppers before feeding. And welcome to TBN. Mike
