I am a new member. I am a green horn trying to survive on 2 farms with 3 familes, myself being the only male on the farms. We built a house on the farm where the in-laws lived and the grandparent-in-laws. Well the year after we moved in the Grandfather-in-law passed away. 4 months later the father-in-law passed away leaving me here on the farms with my wife and daughter, the mother-in-law and the grandmother-in-law. Cows and the garden. I was raised in the city myself, but love living in the country. I have to say though with my job I can't keep up with all the work. I just do what I can do. I commute and hour and half each way to work so it doesn't leave me much time for farming except on the weekends. I just do what I can do and that is all I can do.

I have a Ford 3930 tractor and a Long 2610. I use the Long to cut hay and roll it. The Ford is used for garden work, raking, etc...

I don't know alot about farming, learning as I go. I do cut, rake and roll my own hay. I am pretty busy I have to say.

Looking forward to learning from this site what I can.

Welcome to TBN from Missouri.

Just a suggestion, but I have taught my wife how to drive a tractor to help keep up with our farms. Growing up on a farm, everyone worked to keep it going as my dad was not there much of the time.
