John Deere 332
Just Joined! I just took over my families John Deere 16hp Diesel 332 (1253 hrs) which was purchased back in 1988. It hadn't been used much over the last 10 years after my uncle passed away. I live in Southeastern Massachusetts with 2 acres of lawn and my little JD LX176 lost the engine balance rods clearing my 150 foot long driveway with the 38" Snowblower during the first major snowstorm in January. Sold the LX176 quickly with all the attachments, since.

I had the JD 332 picked up at my families property (wouldn't start) and had the fluids replaced, tractor checked out, and delivered to my house. It has the 54" Quick-Tatch hydraulic blade, Rear Wheel Weights, 50" Deck with Power-Flow, Bagger, and the MC-519 Collection system also.

Using the JD 332 to plow my driveway during the next storm, I noticed some red stains in the snow that I had plowed. After checking the tractor, I realized that the sight tube tubing (for the transmission) had cracked from the cold and was weeping fluid. When I touched the tubing below the sight tube, it disintegrated in my fingers and started to drain the transmission. What a horror show! Anyway, I've repaired it and all's well now. My initiation into having a larger tractor, Ha!

I do miss the convenience of having a snowblower. When plowing heavy snow with the blade, it's difficult to push the snow aside with a long driveway. I know JD made a snowblower for this tractor, but I'd have to find a used one. Any suggestions?
