Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for all of the GREAT info on TBN. You folks have been a huge help!

I had a 455 until about a month ago when I ran into a deal on a 2210/210 that I couldn't pass up. This is a great little tractor so far!. I've already made a tooth bar and set of forks for it and couldn't have done it without TBN, Thanks!

Welcome to TBN:D

What did you do with the 455?

Thanks Kennyd.
I traded the 455. They offered me pretty good money for it. Hated to see it go but with the cost of putting a loader on it I thought a 2210 or 2305 would be the smarter way to go.

Welcome to TBN and looks like you have some nice add-ons to the 210. Just curious because I am new to tractors.....what application(s) made you add the tooth bar to the loader bucket?

Congrats on moving up from a garden tractor to a Sub=Compact.
The only thing better would have been to have kept the 455 to go with the 2210.

To do much effective grading one needs something to break up the ground in order to scoop it up with the loader.
I don't have a tooth bar for my BX 23 because i can use the BH on it for that or I can also use the tiller on the bx1500 for that.
A box blade can be used for loosening up the soil also.

Nice lookin x 455
I could have bought one of them a couple of summers ago
Was a real nice 1998 .
Only had 400 hours on it.
Could have picked it up for 3500 bucks.

netwayne,as LBrown stated the tooth bar REALLY increases the ability to dig into packed dirt.

After adding the tooth bar I find that the loader goes into piles more easily, can actually penetrate "virgin" ground (even the clay here!), my whites are whiter and my car gets better milage......

Don't get me wrong, it won't turn a Sub CUT into an industrial earth mover but it is well worth the investment if you plan on moving anything more than loose piled material.

This is based on my extensive 1 week of experience with a tooth bar mind you, so take it FWIW!

P.S. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
