That M5040 will definitely pull a cutter without any problems. Glad you could find a nice specimen of a used tractor. Every used one I looked at was either wore out or they wanted new prices! Is that a 6ft or 7ft cutter? Looks like it has two tail wheels.

Thanks CT. I was finding the same thing. The prices on used was just unreal. I got very lucky finding this deal and yes its a 7ft cutter with the two large wheels on the back. Bush hog 297.
