Thank you all for setting up these forums.
Since 2004 owner of a JD 2210 in eastern Colorado near Denver, trying to maintain weeds and some grass on 2 1/2 acres with the compact 2210.
Found out over the years that it's hard for a (finishing)54 inch belly mower even on the highest setting to mow all the weeds and that the air filter needs to be blown out on average 3 times in each mowing. ( last year I added a screen on the front, this helped, but still the fan loves to blow the dust in). With this property somewhat sloped the wheelbase of this tractor is not wide enough and even the slightest incline ( or one wheel on a clump of dirt/snow) I need to back out to prevent going on 2 wheels. So to prevent this I added a chain linked chain around the links of the rear PTO dropping it to the lowest position. The purpose was to get all in one and also the lawn with this combo, but it's too much weight on the lawn( we are in dry Colorado). This combination would have been fine on flat surface on real grass. Should have bought a bigger tractor with brush hog.
