Hello! I recently bought a used 1987 John Deere 1050 compact utility tractor from Pacific Tractor in Hillsboro OR and plan to and have used it in my business Oregon Field & Brush Mowing "Short Or Tall, We Mow It All!"
I have learned as much about it as I can. It is in rough shape. The engine works, it drives, the 3 point hitch raises and lowers without much precision it has power steering which doesn't seem to be working, and the PTO clutch doesn't disengage with the pedal. The tractor monitoring systems don't work, the lights all do work and the bushings from the front axle have disintegrated. It need work but I'll make it work. For $3500 for a tractor that was $15000 new and $5000 at the low end blue book, it is a good deal.:thumbsup:
