New member from VA

I am about to buy a JD 425 and was trying to research them a little. Came across this forum. I currently own a Cub Cadet 1650 that I am in the process of rebuilding and a Cub 682. The 682 was my mower and work tractor, until it threw a rod last week. Found out the old KT17 wasn't worth trying to rebuild. Took a good look at all my options and decided the 682 just needs too much work and the 1650 is not far enough along yet, so I'm buying a JD 425. I expect I'll end up parting out the 682 and eventually finishing the 1650. I'll probably sell the 1650 and turn green altogether.

Anyway, I'm a recent retiree from a US govt career, currently living in Stafford, VA. Once I get done with the honey-do list I plan to spend some time riding my horse and traveling to places where my horse, dog, and I can spend some quality time together out in the mountains and forests.
