Greetings from the upstate mountains of South Carolina!

I recently replaced my 30+ year-old Yanmar 336D with a new L3301 Kubota.

I have participated in many special interest forums in the past - such as SVrider, a motorcycle forum - and have found them to be invaluable sources of information.

Considering the universe of topics associated with tractors, I anticipate a similar experience here.

:welcome: to the forum.

A lifetime ago I lived in Greenville and Gaffney area for several months. Beautiful area!

We love it here in the foothills of the Appalachians. I was originally from Alabama and this area reminds me a lot of the Birmingham area where I grew up.

Greenville has changed enormously (for the better) since I first moved here back in the mid-70's. I live off Scenic Hwy 11 about 14 miles of Travelers Rest, which has also changed radically for the better.

I have to say though that Southeast Idaho sounds pretty neat also.

Welcome from Fair Play, SC (also off Scenic Hwy 11, but the South-Western-most end)!

Congrats on your Kubota!

:welcome: Your tractor move sounds similar to my move from the JD 950 (Yanmar engine) to the Kubota. Big differences!

That makes two new South Carolinians I've seen in the forum, today. Welcome!

Tasmania....wow

I had an opportunity to apply for a doctorate program in New Zealand 45 yrs ago. I declined, but in hindsight, it might have been a mistake.

Yep, this is a truly international site (at least a few of us try and keep it that way :))

As to if you made a mistake? I can't say. My Navy service took me to so many places around the world (some of which I'd never heard of or even thought of going to) that there's no knowing where else I could've gone.
