Both are lawn and garden sizes tractors, so Catherine should have moved your post to the John Deere "lawn and garden" board, I think. So maybe post your questions there with the subject line specific to each tractor.
Both are good Deere products.

I agree, start a separate thread for each in the JD L&G section. Minimum, put the model 318 or 445 in the title. That will help in future searches.
