Ford 1710, 770B loader 758A backhoe; Ingersoll 4016
Good morning all.

Thanks for all the useful information in the years past. I finally decided to "join up". I just bought a rough but very good running 2,900 hour 2wd Ford 1710 loader backhoe for my little 10 acre homestead here. Seems to be a tough little tractor so far. I would have loved to have had 4x4 but hoping the weight of the BH will help with traction and that the hoe can also help with getting me free if I ever get hung up. I paid $4000 for it. Love to hear everyone's thoughts on it. Good and/or bad.

Welcome to a fellow 1710 owner. Great little tractors and it sounds like you got a good deal as well.

I look forward to comparing notes in the future.

Japan's Shibaura made the tractor for Ford. Good company!

Welcome!

Great tractor! I've had my over thirty years with few problems. Change fluids and it should give you years of service.
