Hello.

I am considering Kubota/Kioti/Branson for mowing/fencework/pallet lift/snow/and some backhoe work
I plan on storing the tractor and implements on a dedicated trailer to move between three properties.

My thoughts are 35HP is a minimum, but I don't need a monster tractor either.

Some work will be keeping brush cleared in an orchard and vineyard, so maneuverability is important. Does this call for a HST?:us-oklahoma:

HST? Why not--makes operation simpler than gears.
Kubota makes nice stuff--my first tractor was a new 2005 Kubota B7510HST. My neighbor has a Kubota L4400 which would be a nice fit for your needs.
Mahindra makes good stuff also. They have nice backhoes that fit their equipment.

The HST v gear is a never ending debate here with strong proponents on both sides. I run and like both, but give the HST the edge in maneuverability and ease of use over a long day in the seat. For new tractor users, I believe the advantages are even more significant.

I like Kubota, but the other brands make good tractors as well and I imagine a 35-40 HP or so will serve you well.
