Earlier I was on a tractor forum, I don't recall the name of it. Anyway, they were discussing the Mahindra line of tractors. From the things said I believe that they must own stock in John Deere or Kubota. Basically I don't care what tractor a person owns, and to be honest I don't care if they want to slam the brand I own...but I just don't get the concept of slamming another brand that you don't know anything about.
It just goes to show that word of mouth is a powerful thing. I wonder how many people were looking at the Mahindras and decided against buying one because of some negative thing they heard from someone who did not know what he was talking about to begin with.
All I can say is I saved thousands of dollars and I get the job done just as fast as the Deere and Kubota owners. I never knew that John Deere and Kubotas never brake down....did you?

Mine just gets blasted with the pressure washer (when its warmer out) to remove any mud build up, that's about it. I keep it in the barn, so it hasn't faded at all (that I notice anyway) and I do believe, if I actually washed and waxed it, it would look like new. It only has 288 hours on it, so it is almost new. I use the washer nozzle on the fan setting and it hasn't harmed the paint or any decals and I grease after spraying. I don't abuse it, just use it and hope to for many years.

Yes I took delivery just yesturday. It is an AWESOME machine. I have been using an old ford for three or four years now. Night and day difference. I enjoy the modern features, but when i sit down and compare them, the basic stuff that matters ...well, its all the same but the name...

Thanks for sharing your new toy with us. I am particularly interested in your decision process that led you to Mahindra. I've been devouring TBN strings over my last 4 months in Afghanistan trying to get smart what to look at when I get home in the spring. My wife and I test drove a couple other colors last summer but I've just now started looking at Mahindras. I would really appreciate learning from your shopping experience. Thanks again.
