Today at 52 hours my M7040 blew the main hydraulic presure supply hose for the FEL spool valves. I was one hour into cutting a pad for a new home site. It was all I could do to get it up onto my trailer, as the SUTD was "Spraying" out of the hose all over the place. (I had just changed the fluid and filters at 50 hours this last week!) /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I transported the tractor back to my dealer (1 1/2hours away) for the repair. The tech was amazed the hose broke. It appeared to have just "Split wide open" for no apparent reason!!! (No I did not hit anything)

The special order parts kit required to install my FEL third function control valve option are finally in, so they will install the parts while the tractor is there.

I guess this is just a "Fluke" problem. I'm glad it happened now, rather than when the tractor had gone out of warranty! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Don't worry it won't be your last, I busted three hoses on a B7500 FEL I used to have.
They were all right behind the crimp. I suspect the crimp process weakened the hose.

Don't feel bad; a few years ago I blew a hydraulic hose and the oil sprayed all over the siding on a new home.

Re: Goes down while working on job site

Happened to the contractor working on my foundation last summer. His big Bobcat skid steer blew a hydro hose to one of the bucket cylinders in the middle of a backfill job. He said it happens frequently on that particular model because of a design flaw which causes the hose to rub on the bucket arm. He carries spare hose for this problem already cut to length with the proper fittings. Took about 45 minutes to do the fix.

My dealer said the hose just blew in an area no one would expect. Not a crimp problem. He said it happens once in a while. I was suprised as no other Kubota I have had has blown a hose like that.
