That is nice tractor. The cab is wide enough for 2 people. That thing could lift a M7040 on the 3ph, it will lift up to 9447lbs.

They've had the optional 3pt lift capacity for a while now. Not sure how that works either. For example, the M9540HD12 has a lift capacity of 7200 pounds on a tractor with a 5500 pound chassis. Maybe someone can technically describe how that could work???

It would take one heck of a ballast. What you need to lift that was that heavy?

Here's how that works. The base weight of an open station M9540 is about 5600 lbs. Fill the rear tires and now it weighs a little over 7000 lbs. Add a front loader and a bucket and it weighs a little over 9300 lbs. Put a scoop of dirt in the bucket and now it weighs 11,300 lbs. Operator ballast in my case brings it up to about 11,525 lbs. You're now good to go.

You could of course go even heavier with a cab, cast wheels or wheel weights, front weight bumper, grill guard, etc.

Yeah I'll give you all that, except the rear tire weight, it would have no impact on the tractor's ability to carry that weight, operator weight would have minimal impact as well.

Just not sure how safely that weight could be moved around without risk of tilt or damage to the tractor. So if the tractor weight 11K and you've got another 7K on the 3pt, the rear axle and wheel/tire assembly is basically carrying 18K. Not sure it's rated to do that.

Also don't quite understand why it's an option on the tractor unless you get the 12spd, then it's standard equipment?
