Rotary Cutter New Lowery Manufacturing (LMC) Rotary Cutter

I just want to say how satisfied I am with the new rotary cutter that I bought yesterday from my local tractor dealer. Hill’s Equipment in Livingston, LA.
It’s a 4 foot model Andy 400 made by Lowery Manufacturing in Boaz, Alabama. They’ve been in business for decades.
This thing is well-built and cuts excellent!
It discharges the clipping out the back of the cutter FAST and will not choke the tractor down in thick grass.

I had an Andy 600 years ago. It had a single strap where the hitch pins were mounted. Every time I bumped something with the cutter the hitch frame would bend where the hitch pins were. That double strap should help with that. That cutter cut grass as well as any brush cutter I've had.

The Andy 500 and Andy 600 has the single strap hitch. The new Big Andy that they build is an absolute BEAST!!
I love this Andy 400. I would put it up against any bush hog in the same class. I’ve never had a bush hog cut grass as good as this one does. It will throw the clippings out the back just as fast as it cuts the grass, and won’t choke the tractor down. I would definitely buy another Andy rotary cutter.
I have the option to put a slip clutch on it, but I don’t plan on it as of now. It takes a 1/2” x 3 1/2” Grade 2 Shear Bolt and it’s been doing excellent with it.
I’ve owned several different Lowery Manufacturing implements over the years and they were all very good products.
